Sri Lanka, March 11 -- The old parliament building which houses the office of the Presidential Secretariat will be open for public viewing during the weekends, the Presidential Secretariat said.

The Neo-Baroque style building overlooking the Galle Face Green and the Colombo Port City can be viewed by the public from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays starting this weekend.

However, people are required to inform the Secretariat beforehand to make reservations, complete other necessary arrangements and then receive confirmation before arriving at the premises.

"It is necessary to inform beforehand to make security arrangements and allocate time slots for various groups of visitors," a spokesperson said.
