Sri Lanka, Dec. 11 -- The government has no plans whatsoever to sell the Mattala Airport (MRIA) to anyone, Industrial Export, Investment Promotion, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Prasanna Ranatunga today said.
Addressing a news briefing in Udugampola today, the minister said there was no truth in the reports which suggested otherwise. He said a statement he had made over streamlining the Mattala Airport Management has been misinterpreted and being circulated on social media.
"There is no basis in the reports circulating on social media which have been concocted by defeated political elements to embarrass the government. The incumbent government has no streak for alienating national assets," he said.
