Sri Lanka, Feb. 20 -- More than half of the respondents in the US have said that they would lie to get a job they really wanted, according to the latest survey by StandOut CV. Though the survey was conducted in the US, HRO believes the results remain relevant to the Asian region.

Among over 2,100 surveyed Americans, 64.2 percent on average have lied about their personal details, skills, experience, or references on their resumes at least once, compared to 55 percent who said yes to this question in the previous year.

The most common thing people had lied about was their salary at previous jobs (32.8 percent), followed by their skills (30.8 percent), and their previous work experience (30.5 percent).
