Sri Lanka, April 13 -- Heavy rainfalls above 75mm could be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central, Western and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts in the evening or night, the National Forecast Division of the Meteorology Department said.
They said misty conditions expected to prevail in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces during the morning.
Meanwhile, showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the sea areas extending from Puttalam to Matara via Colombo and Galle in the evening or night, the Department said.
The department also advised the general public to take adequate protective measure to safeguard themselves from damages caused by gusty winds and lightning during thundershowers....
