Sri Lanka, March 2 -- Colombo, March 2 () - The retail price of a kilogram of chicken has been increased by between Rs. 40 to Rs. 60 from today, poultry farmers said.
The retail price of a kilo of fresh chicken at the Narahenpita Economic Centre is Rs. 1,180.
A selling price of Rs. 1,120 was recorded for skinless chicken and curry chicken was sold at Rs. 1,200 per kilogram.
Chicken sale centres in Handapangoda recorded Rs. 1,190 per kilogram of fresh chicken, Rs.1,180 per kilogram of skinless chicken and Rs.1,300 per kilogram of curry chicken.
