Sri Lanka, Jan. 27 -- With aim of attracting Rs.30 billion in investments and generating 11,500 employment opportunities, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal to set up a 100-acre industrial estate in Katunayake.

The Cabinet of Ministers on Monday granted approval for the proposal presented by the Industries Minister Wimal Weerawansa to setup the proposed industrial estate on a 100-acre State-owned land in the Katana Divisional Secretariat Division, named Kaludiyawala Watta.
