Badoordeen re-elected President of Colombo Malay Cricket Club for second year
Sri Lanka, April 12 -- Rizwan Badoordeen has been elected President of the Colombo Malay Cricket Club (CMCC) for the second consecutive year at their annual general meeting held at the 'Padang' in Slave Island.
Badoordeen is at the helm at an important juncture in the history of CMCC as the oldest cricket club in Sri Lanka prepares to celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2022.
A steering committee has been formed to organize several events to mark the event such as invitational T10 cricket and Tag Rugby tournaments, a Hockey tournament for schools and clubs, a Netball Carnival, Sepak Takraw and Badminton competitions, Malay Rally and Malay Walk.
