Mumbai, March 11 -- The e-Shram portal (eshram.gov.in), launched by the Ministry of Labour and Employment on August 26, 2021, has emerged as a crucial platform for India's unorganised workforce. As of March 3, 2025, more than 306 million unorganised workers have registered on the portal, with women accounting for 53.68% of total registrations.

e-Shram as a One-Stop Solution for Social Security In line with the government's vision of developing e-Shram as a comprehensive social security platform, the e-Shram-"One-Stop-Solution" was introduced on October 21, 2024. This initiative integrates multiple welfare and social security schemes, allowing registered workers to easily access and monitor the benefits they are entitled to.

Integration with Key Platforms: National Career Service (NCS) and Skill India Digital Portal to boost employment and skilling opportunities. Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandan (PMSYM) for pension enrolment. myScheme Portal for a single-window search and discovery of government schemes. Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG) to facilitate easy registration and updates. Awareness and Outreach Initiatives The Ministry of Labour & Employment has undertaken several measures to increase awareness and drive registrations, including:

Regular review meetings with States/UTs: Collaborations with Common Services Centres (CSC) and State Seva Kendras (SSKs) to assist workers in registration. SMS campaigns and social media outreach to inform workers about e-Shram benefits. Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, reaffirmed the government's commitment to enhancing social security for unorganised workers and ensuring seamless access to welfare benefits.
