Mumbai, Feb. 13 -- The Haryana government has intensified efforts to accelerate development in Nuh by focusing on key infrastructure projects, particularly a new railway line. The proposed 104-km rail corridor connecting Delhi to Alwar via Nuh has been sanctioned, with funding allocated in the Railway Budget. This rail line will pass through Sohna, Nuh, and Ferozpur Jhirka before reaching Alwar in Rajasthan.

The project is set to revolutionise connectivity in the district, enabling seamless rail transport and fostering economic development. Once operational, this railway line will significantly enhance mobility for residents and facilitate greater commercial opportunities across the region.

Orbital Rail Corridor to Complement Development

In addition to the Delhi-Alwar railway line, the Haryana government and the Ministry of Railways are jointly developing the Orbital Rail Corridor, a 122-km double railway line connecting Palwal to Sonipat via Sohna, Manesar, and Kharkhoda. This corridor will cater to both passenger and freight traffic and is expected to enhance regional trade and logistics.

Key highlights of the Orbital Rail Corridor:

17 strategically located stations

Major transit points at Manesar and Sohna

Potential linkage with the Delhi-Alwar railway line at Sohna (awaiting official confirmation)

The new railway projects align with Haryana's broader strategy to strengthen transportation networks and facilitate regional development. Over the past few years, road infrastructure in the region has seen rapid expansion, with the completion of:

Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway

Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, both traversing Mewat

With enhanced rail and road connectivity, Nuh is poised to become a key growth hub, attracting investments and unlocking new economic opportunities for local communities.
