Mumbai, May 23 -- Advait Energy Transitions Limited has successfully installed and energised the ACCC(R) Daman Conductor for the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO), setting a benchmark in grid capacity enhancement without the need for new infrastructure.

Executed in the Amreli zone, the project involved the reconductoring of three critical 66 kV transmission lines-Machiyla-Malviya Pipariya, Bhingrad-Lath, and Dhasa-Bhingrad-which previously used ACSR Dog conductors. Instead of constructing new towers or acquiring additional rights-of-way, GETCO opted for a sustainable upgrade using the advanced ACCC(R) Daman Conductor.

Manufactured by Sterlite Power and developed by US-based CTC Global, the ACCC(R) Daman Conductor features a 4.83 mm composite core that mirrors the dimensions of traditional conductors while offering double the ampacity. With superior thermal efficiency, low sag, and increased power transfer capacity, the conductor is well-suited for use in congested or infrastructure-limited areas.

"This project is a proud milestone for us," said Shalin Sheth, Founder and Managing Director of Advait Energy Transitions. "It showcases our commitment to innovative, efficient transmission solutions for India's energy future." The reconductoring work was completed in just 67 days, despite logistical challenges and limited space, using advanced stringing tools and techniques for precision and safety.

CTC Global's Vice President for South Asia, Hitesh Mundhada, remarked, "This successful energisation of the ACCC(R) Daman Conductor marks a significant advancement in making India's sub-transmission network more efficient and resilient."

The project was the result of coordinated efforts between GETCO, Sterlite Power, CTC Global, and Tag Corporation. It is seen as a strategic move towards grid modernisation, enabling utilities to increase reliability and capacity while avoiding delays and environmental disruption.

As India progresses toward its renewable energy goals and climate commitments, modern, high-capacity conductors like ACCC(R) Daman will play a vital role in building a smart, sustainable transmission infrastructure.

With this landmark deployment, Advait Energy Transitions positions itself as a frontrunner in India's grid transformation, paving the way for the broader adoption of next-generation conductor technologies.
