Tata Motors will take a leap further and introduce factory-fitted CNG models this financial year. Although the details of the models are not known at the moment, there have been various sightings of the Tiago and Tigor test mules at the CNG filling stations. Both the prototypes were based on the current generation of the models. In recent years, factory-fitted CNG-powered vehicles have become preferred alternative fuels due to their economic cost of running and the rising prices of petrol and diesel.
