Mumbai, Aug. 5 -- The US bond market saw mixed activity yesterday after recent slide in yields. On Monday, treasuries moved modestly higher over the course of the session after showing a lack of direction early in the day, keeping the overall trajectory in yields lower. The yield on the benchmark ten-year note, which moves opposite of its price, dipped 2 bps to a three-month closing low of 4.20%. Markets seem to be fully engrossed in the assessment of latest labour market data and broad trade worries posed by the tariff actions of the US President Donald Trump. Meanwhile, the US stocks rallied as traders seized the opportunity to buy stocks at discounted prices after a recent sell-off.
