Mumbai, Aug. 22 -- The United Kingdom's 30-year government bond yield is hovering around highest level since 1998, holding onto its recent upmove and currently at 5.53%, up marginally on the day. Yields soared above 5.60% on Monday. The 10-year bond yield is also around highest in four months at 4.74%. Yields are zooming up ahead of the Jackson Hole Economic Symposium outcome. Data out earlier showed that UK consumer confidence rose to -17 in August 2025, the best level in a year. Yields are also tracking broad trends in inflation and fiscal worries.
