Mumbai, Feb. 4 -- Treasuries closed roughly flat after seeing modest weakness for much of the day. The yield on the benchmark ten-year note which moves opposite of its price, edged down by less than a basis point to 4.27% after reaching a high of 4.30%.

Treasury yields held steady on Tuesday as investors continued to digest recent economic data that offered a positive sign about the state of the U.S. economy.

The 10-year Treasury yield was down more than 1 basis point at 4.26% while the 2-year Treasury yield shed less than 1 basis point to 3.56%. The 30-year Treasury yield also dropped more than a basis point to 4.89%.
