Mumbai, July 29 -- Ministry of Communications stated that as per information received from 1462 operators in June 2025, the total number of broadband subscribers increased from 974.87 million at the end of May 2025 to 979.71 million at the end of June 2025 with a monthly growth rate of 0.50%. Wireline subscribers increased from 38.66 million at the end of May 2025 to 47.49 million at the end of June 2025. The net increase in the wireline subscriber base was 8.83 million with a monthly growth rate of 22.83%. The Overall wireline Tele-density in India increased from 2.73% at the end of May 2025 to 3.36% at the end of June 2025.
