Mumbai, March 19 -- The key benchmark indices ended with small gains on Wednesday, rising for third day in a row. Investors are looking ahead to the U.S. Federal Reserve and the Bank of England policy decisions. The Nifty ended above the 22,900 level. Realty, PSU bank and consumer durables shares advanced while IT and FMCG stocks corrected.
As per provisional closing data, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, advanced 147.79 points or 0.20% to 75,449.05. The Nifty 50 index added 73.30 points or 0.32% to 22,907.60. In the past three trading session, the Sensex and the Nifty jumped 2.19% and 2.28% respectively.
