Mumbai, Oct. 14 -- Base metals slumped in volatile trades on the MCX in morning trades today. MCX Copper futures are down around 2% to trade at Rs 984 per kg as a failure to hold above Rs 1000 per kg mark triggered heavy correction. MCX Aluminum futures slipped 0.62% to trade at Rs 262.40 per kg. MCX Zinc futures eased 0.29% at Rs 293.40 per kg. MCX Lead futures are also down 0.25% at Rs 180.90 per kg.
