Mumbai, Aug. 13 -- During 2024-25, across all the exchanges, 42 commodity contracts of 24 unique commodities were traded, Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI), noted in its latest annual report. During 2024-25, in aggregate, the futures turnover increased by 37.4% to Rs 71.4 lakh crore, whereas the options turnover (notional) increased by 122.3 per cent to Rs 508.3 lakh crore in 2024-25. The premium turnover also increased by 88.2% to Rs 8.1 lakh crore from Rs 4.3 lakh crore during the period. During 2024-25, the notional turnover in the agri segment decreased by 28.5% to 1.5 lakh crore from Rs 2.1 trillion in 2023-24.
