Mumbai, April 24 -- Jeera futures tested around three-week low on NCDEX today as markets eyed a seasonally high period of supplies in major mandies. In Unjha, the key spot market for the commodity in Gujarat, the higher range for spot quotes have eased from around Rs 5700 per 20 kg to Rs 5200 per 20 kg in last one week. the Gujarat government had estimated lower yields but overall higher production of the spice in the 2023-24 Rabi season. Demand is likely to be steady from local stockists. The benchmark NCDEX Jeera futures tanked to a low of Rs 22600 per quintal today and currently trades at Rs 23100 per quintal, down 0.69% on the day. Daily volumes have been falling in the counter over last few weeks.
