The collapse in schedules was driven by a sharp shortage of crew, especially pilots, after new Flight Duty Time Limitation rules came into force last month. These rules mandate longer rest hours, and IndiGo has struggled to adjust its network. Delhi and Mumbai airports saw the highest impact, with dozens of flights cancelled at each location.
