Mumbai, Jan. 27 -- Silver prices slid over 1% to $30.60 per ounce as the dollar strengthened after US President Donald Trump threatened tariffs and sanctions on Colombia, stoking trade conflict concerns. The move followed Colombia blocking US military aircraft carrying deported migrants. Market sentiment weakened further as China's manufacturing activity unexpectedly contracted and its services sector growth slowed sharply. On the domestic front, MCX silver futures fell over Rs 1000 to Rs 90,590 per kg, with key support seen near Rs 90,100 and Rs 89,700 levels. The Federal Reserve is expected to hold rates steady this week despite Trump's push for immediate cuts.
