Mumbai, Feb. 13 -- Inflows into equity mutual funds saw a marginal decline of 3.6% in January, according to data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI). Total inflows reached Rs 39,687 crore, compared to Rs 41,155 crore in December. Despite this slight dip, net investments into open-ended equity funds remained positive for the 47th consecutive month.

The total number of mutual fund folios reached 22,91,99,377 in January 2025. Retail folios (comprising equity, hybrid, and solution-oriented schemes) increased to 182,223,078, up from 178,993,911 in December 2024. However, retail assets under management (AUM) for these schemes decreased to Rs 38,77,595 crore in January from Rs 39,91,313 crore in December.
