Mumbai, March 8 -- A closely watched report released by the Labor Department stated that the US non-farm payroll employment climbed by 151,000 jobs in February after rising by a downwardly revised 125,000 jobs in January. The Labor Department said jobs gains in the healthcare, financial activities, transportation and warehousing and social assistance sectors was partly offset by a decrease by federal government employment. Average hourly earnings rose 0.3% after climbing 0.4% in January. Annual wage growth increased at a 4.1% pace after advancing 3.9% in January. The US unemployment rate also edged up to 4.1%, up from 4% in January.
