Mumbai, July 31 -- The US economy rebounded in the second quarter of 2025, growing at an annualised rate of 3% and reversing a 0.5% contraction seen in the first three months of the year. Growth in consumer spending, the mainstay of the US economy, edged up moderately by 1.4% across both goods and services. However, the US economy expanded at an annual rate of about 1.25% during the first half of the year, marking a slowdown from each of the two previous years, when the economy grew nearly 3%.
