Mumbai, Feb. 7 -- The Halifax House Price Index rose 3.0% year-on-year in January 2025, slowing from 3.4% in December. On a monthly basis, prices rebounded 0.7% after a 0.2% dip. The average property hit a record £299,138. Halifax's Amanda Bryden noted strong mortgage demand and supply shortages, with BOE's rate cut and wage growth supporting modest gains ahead.
