Mumbai, Aug. 5 -- Singapore's retail sales climbed 2.3% year-on-year in June 2025, marking the strongest growth since January and extending the expansion streak to four months. The surge was driven by robust demand for watches and jewellery, motor vehicles and household equipment. Department stores and clothing outlets saw more modest declines, while mini marts, convenience stores and food and alcohol categories faced deeper contractions. On a monthly basis, overall sales fell 1.2%, reversing May's 1% gain.
