Mumbai, Dec. 5 -- Japan's household spending dropped 3.0% year-on-year in October 2025, reversing the 1.8% rise seen in September and marking the steepest fall since January 2024. The decline was driven by weaker outlays on food, entertainment, and automobiles, highlighting persistent cost pressures as the year-end approaches. On a monthly basis, spending slid 3.5%, extending September's 0.7% decline.
