Mumbai, March 12 -- Japan's Business Survey Index for large manufacturers dropped to -2.4 percent in Q1 2025, down from 6.3 percent, marking the first negative reading since Q2 last year. Manufacturers also face pressure from a global trade war after U.S. President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on key partners. Despite the dip, firms expect conditions to stabilize at -0.5 percent next quarter and rebound to 6.3 percent later.
