Mumbai, Feb. 17 -- Japan's industrial output dropped 0.2 percent month-over-month in December 2024, missing flash estimates of a 0.3 percent rise. This followed a 2.2 percent fall in November, marking two consecutive months of decline. Key sectors like chemicals down by 5.3 percent, ceramics by 2.8 percent, machinery by 2.6 percent, and motor vehicles by 1.7 percent reported downturns. Year-over-year, production fell by 1.6 percent, extending November's 2.7 percent decline.
