Mumbai, March 19 -- Japan's industrial production dropped 1.1% month-on-month in January 2025, matching preliminary data and deepening from a 0.3% decline in December. This marked the third consecutive monthly fall, driven by weak activity in production machinery (down 10.2%), electronic parts and devices (down 2.2%), and electrical machinery (down 0.4%). However, year-on-year industrial production rose 2.2%, rebounding from a 2.2% decline in December and marking the first annual growth in three months.
