Mumbai, Jan. 5 -- Japan's manufacturing sector stabilized in December as the S&P Global Manufacturing PMI was revised up to 50.0 from 49.7, improving from November's 48.7. The reading ended five months of contraction and marked the highest level since June. Output remained steady, while new orders and export demand declined at a slower pace. Employment rose slightly, supported by improving business confidence and expectations of stronger demand ahead.
