Mumbai, Nov. 28 -- Japan's unemployment rate stayed at 2.6% in October 2025, unchanged for the third month. The number of unemployed rose by 40 thousand to 1.85 million, the highest in nearly four years. Still, employment climbed by 120 thousand to a record 68.46 million, and the labor force grew to 70.30 million. Those outside the labor force fell by 150 thousand, while participation held at 64.2%, slightly higher than a year ago.
