Mumbai, Nov. 14 -- The annual rate of inflation based on All India Wholesale Price Index (WPI) number is -1.21% (provisional) for the month of October, 2025 (over October, 2024). Negative rate of inflation in October, 2025 is primarily due to decrease in prices of food articles, crude petroleum & natural gas, electricity, mineral oils and manufacture of basic metals etc. The WPI for September stood at 0.13%.
Primary Articles index decreased by 0.42% from 189.0 (provisional) for the month of September, 2025 to 188.2 (provisional) in October, 2025.
Fuel & Power index increased by 1.12% from 143.4 (provisional) for the month of September, 2025 to 145.0 (provisional) in October, 2025.
