Mumbai, June 13 -- Germany's consumer price inflation stayed steady at 2.1% in May 2025, matching flash estimates and marking its lowest level since October 2024. While goods inflation picked up to 0.9% driven by pricier food items like fruit and sugar, energy costs kept falling, though declines slowed. Service inflation eased to 3.4% due to cheaper international flights and telecom services. Core inflation dipped slightly to 2.8%, and monthly prices rose just 0.1%, cooling from April's 0.4%. The EU-harmonised rate also slipped to 2.1% year-on-year.
