Mumbai, Feb. 28 -- Germany's retail sales rose 0.2 percent month-over-month in January, recovering from a sharp 1.6 percent decline in December. The uptick was driven by a 1.5 percent surge in food sales, while non-food sales dipped 0.2 percent, and e-commerce plunged 4.2 percent. Year-on-year, retail sales grew 2.9 percent, accelerating from 2 percent in December, with food sales up 1.5 percent and non-food sales rising 3.7 percent.
