Mumbai, Feb. 6 -- Germany's factory orders surged 6.9% month-over-month in December 2024, rebounding from a 5.2% drop in November. The increase, the strongest in three months, was driven by a 55.5% rise in large-scale orders for aircraft, ships, and trains, along with an 8.6% boost in machinery. Capital goods orders rose 10.9%, while auto sector demand fell 3.2%. Domestic orders soared 14.6%, while foreign demand edged up 1.4%. Excluding large orders, new orders increased 2.2%. However, orders fell 3.0% for the full year.
