Mumbai, July 4 -- Germany's factory orders fell 1.4% in May 2025, missing forecasts and ending a three-month growth streak. A steep 17.7% drop in tech-related orders led the decline, along with weaker demand for metals and electrical equipment. Domestic orders plunged 7.8%, while foreign demand rose 2.9%, driven by non-euro area strength. Excluding large contracts, orders fell 3.1%.
