Mumbai, Feb. 6 -- Australia's trade surplus narrowed to AUD 5.09 billion in December 2024, the lowest since September, from AUD 6.79 billion in November. Exports rose 1.1% to a ten-month high of AUD 44.03 billion, mainly driven by metal ores and minerals. However, imports surged 5.9% to a nine-month peak of AUD 38.94 billion, outpacing export growth.
