Mumbai, Feb. 3 -- Australia's private house approvals continued to improve in December 2025, rising 0.4% from the previous month to 9,487 units, according to preliminary figures. Although the increase was smaller than in November, it marked a second consecutive monthly gain, highlighting steady demand for detached homes. Most major states recorded higher approvals, with South Australia and Western Australia leading the gains, followed by Queensland and New South Wales. Victoria was the only large state to post a decline. On a yearly basis, approvals climbed 5.7%, maintaining an upward trend even as the pace of growth shows signs of cooling.
