Mumbai, March 3 -- Australia's Monthly Inflation Gauge fell 0.2% in February 2025, its first drop since August, as the Reserve Bank's fresh rate cut to 4.1% begins to bite. With underlying inflation cooling to 3.2% and headline inflation hitting a near four-year low of 2.4%, signs of faster disinflation are emerging. RBA Governor Michele Bullock credits higher rates for slowing the economy and taming price pressures but warns it's too soon to celebrate.
