Mumbai, Dec. 3 -- Australia's economy grew 0.4% in Q3 2025, easing from the stronger and revised Q2 figure but still marking the 16th straight quarter of expansion. Household consumption slowed to 0.5% from 0.9% as discretionary spending normalized after an Easter-driven surge earlier in the year. Government spending remained steady at 0.8%, nearly unchanged from the previous quarter. Net trade weighed on growth, with exports rising 1.0% against a faster 1.5% increase in imports, while inventories pulled GDP down by 0.5 percentage points. The household savings ratio improved to 6.4% from 6.0%, signaling slightly stronger financial buffers. On an annual basis, GDP increased 2.1%, a touch above the 2.0% recorded in Q2.
