Mumbai, March 20 -- Australia's unemployment rate held at 4.1% in February 2025, unchanged from January's three-month high. The number of unemployed dropped by 11.2 thousand to 612.6 thousand, with those seeking full-time jobs falling by 11.3 thousand while part-time seekers rose slightly. However, employment unexpectedly fell by 52.8 thousand to 14.51 million, driven by a drop in both full-time and part-time positions. The participation rate slipped to a nine-month low of 66.8%. Monthly hours worked declined by 8 million to 1,973 million.
