Mumbai, March 11 -- Australia's NAB business confidence index dropped to -1 in February from 5 in January, marking the first negative reading of 2025. Sentiment fell across industries, especially mining, recreation, and transport. Meanwhile, business conditions improved slightly to 4 from 3, with sales and profitability rising but employment easing. Mining, construction, and transport saw gains, while wholesale, manufacturing, and finance declined. Forward orders remained at -3, and capacity utilization held steady. Purchase cost growth rose to 1.5%, while labor cost growth slowed.
