Mumbai, Jan. 29 -- Australia's annual inflation rate fell to 2.4 percent in Q4 2024 from 2.8 percent in Q3. This marked the lowest level since Q1 2021, driven by a sharp decline in goods inflation and lower prices for electricity, fuel, housing, and health. Services inflation also eased to a three-quarter low of 4.3 percent. However, costs rose for recreation, education, and household services. The RBA's trimmed mean CPI increased 3.2 percent, still above the central bank's target.
