Mumbai, April 2 -- Australia's total dwelling approvals fell 0.3 percent month on month to 16,606 units in February 2025. This followed a revised 6.9 percent rise in January. Private sector dwellings excluding houses fell 1.5 percent, while private sector house approvals rose 1 percent. New South Wales saw a sharp decline of 44.1 percent, while approvals surged in Tasmania 61.3 percent, Victoria 36.4 percent, Western Australia 17.1 percent, Queensland 13 percent, and South Australia 5.4 percent.
