Mumbai, June 25 -- Australia's monthly CPI rose 2.1 percent in May 2025, easing from 2.4 percent in the previous three months and marking the lowest since October 2024. The figure remained within the RBA's 2-3 percent target range. Inflation slowed for food and beverages, housing, and recreation, while rising for alcohol, tobacco, and clothing. Trimmed mean inflation dipped to 2.4 percent, the weakest since November 2021. Deflation in transport also eased slightly.
