Mumbai, Dec. 2 -- Australia's total dwelling approvals fell 6.4% in October 2025 to 15,832 units, reversing the strong 11.1% rise seen in September. The pullback was driven mainly by a sharp 13.1% fall in private-sector dwellings excluding houses, undoing last month's 25% jump. Private-sector house approvals also slipped 2.1% after a modest rise earlier. On an annual basis, approvals dropped 1.8%, softening from the previous month's 14.9% rise.
