Mumbai, May 8 -- South Africa's gross foreign exchange reserves rose to a record $67.585 billion in April 2025, up from $67.450 billion in March. The increase was driven by higher gold reserves at $13.192 billion and SDR holdings at $6.436 billion. The forward position also climbed to $0.791 billion. However, foreign currency reserves declined to $47.957 billion from $48.556 billion in the previous month.
