Mumbai, April 23 -- US dollar index rebounded from three-year low and quotes at 99, up marginally on the day as some stability returned to financial markets. Meanwhile, Tobias Adrian, Financial Counsellor and Director, Monetary and Capital Markets Department, IMF stated yesterday that the volatility in the exchange rates is reflecting the broader volatility. There are some indications that the exchange rate movements are related to flows to investor reallocations, but the magnitudes of those flows are relatively small, relative to the run up of inflows into US assets in recent years. He opined that it is notable that the dollar declined, but would not jump to conclusions in terms of how permanent that move may be.
