Mumbai, July 29 -- COMEX Copper futures slumped nearly 3% yesterday amid firm US dollar index and also tested a three-week low. The metal is trading flat around $5.52 per pound right now. Asian stocks ended Tuesday's session mixed as outcome of ongoing US-China talks weighed on sentiments. Chinese Shanghai Composite index rose 0.33% while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index eased 0.15%. Japan's Nikkei average dipped 0.79%. Meanwhile, European stocks moved up as focus shifted to earnings. The US stocks saw choppy moves yesterday. However, Nasdaq and the S&P 500 reached new record closing highs. The Dow eased 0.1%.
